As you probably know, Go!View is Sony’s TV-on-Demand service for PSP. And you may know that it’s out now for our UK and Irish psp community. Hopefully it will come out here soon. Fingers crossed. Otherwise, you can get psp downloads here.
Anyway, if you are interested in this service, there are some basic things you need to know about. Like the basic system requirements. You see, without it, Go!View won’t work. Anyway, you need to be a PC user running WinXP, Internet Explorer v6.0+ and Adobe Flash v9.0+. (Totally sucks if you are a Mac user.) As for your psp, it works best if you have a memory stick bigger than 1GB. That way, you know there’ll be enough space.
… Oh. And don’t forget a USB cable to transfer the psp downloads to your psp.
Anyway, you may be wondering how this all works. Well, Go!View is a sort of monthly service where you get access to shows on Sky, the BBC and National Geographic.
Now, you may be wondering what it costs per month. And what shows are included for you to download to your psp. At the moment, they are offering 3 types of packages. One package gets you a choice of comedy, entertainment and sports. The one package costs about 5 pounds per month. If you want all of them, then you’ll be forking out about 10 pounds a month.
Anyway, in the entertainment package, you get shows like Hustle, Scrubs, Weeds, Spocks, Battlestar Galactica and stuff. As for the Comedy package, there are shows like Little Britain and League of Gentlemen. Sports is just sports.
With Go!View, you can also download movies. Now the list is still being updated, but they will range from 3.50 pounds for movies like Eastern Promises and Michael Clayton. Older movies will go for a little cheaper.
Anyway, Pocket Gamer in the Uk have put together a sort of tutorial which shows you what to do. Just go here for the steps.
