According to several unverifiable sources, the PSP 3000 is currently in production. One place keeping the rumor alive is the PSPChina.net message board where they have posted what seems to be a prototype of the unit.
Similar to previous images that were leaked, these photos indicate that the PSP 3000 will have a much different look. For instance, there appears to be a Playstation button where the Home button used to be with a microphone located beside the volume controls.
The PSP logo is slightly modified on the back but outwardly, it looks pretty much like the PSP Slim with a glossy black finish. As of now, we haven’t heard much about any other features of the PSP 3000.
This is one of many rumors concerning a new Sony PSP. While a few gamers contest that a PSPhone or PSP with HDD would be a more plausible upgrade, many admit that they will be the first in line when and if the PSP 3000 is ever released.
