New Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Release Not Coming To The U.S.

s29839_psp_2.jpg

Bad news for fans of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force Series. Even though the first two games were released in the United States, it seems as if Konami will not be unveiling Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX 3 in the states. Many PSP gamers view this as a big deal since GameFAQs recently reported that Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 2 is one of the top ten games for the PSP. Personly, I wouldn’t rate it that high, but I guess, everyone has their own preferences.

Anyway, if you are one of our Japanese community members, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3 is scheduled to be released on September 25, 2008. (Lucky you!) There is currently no word on why this popular series has been discontinued in the U.S. My guess is that they couldn’t give a rat’s toss bag about us. But that’s for another day!

So those of you looking to “duel” just may have to find a way to import this one or seeing if it’s on a site like this.

New York Lays Down The Law On Video Games

new_york_lays_down_the_law.jpg

Last month, the New York Senate passed a bill for mandatory ratings on all video games. These include psp games too. You see, on July 22nd, 2008, New York Governor David Patterson signed a Video Game bill into law, putting an interesting twist on the state’s video game legislation.

The new bill calls for an advisory council to conduct a thorough examination on the connection linking real-life violence and interactive media that minors may be exposed to. It also requires new video game consoles to feature parental lockouts by 2010 and mandates that games sold at retail stores disclose accurate ratings acquired from the industry’s voluntary rating system.

Anyway, many members of our community feel the enactment of this bill is unnecessary. And the reason why is because they people, have never played a psp game in their life. You know, these people are always trying to make it hard for us. And it’s like they want to keep us down or something. I don’t know about you but they are trying to find a way to ban violent psp games. And they think by getting rid of violent psp games, then real life violence will go away.

What a load of buls$%t. Those fu$%ers should get off their a#$ and take a shot at something else.

Anyway, if there was one thing I would say to these donkeys is to leave “us” psp gamers alone!

Sorry about the rant but when “they” start to move in on our community, thenthey got a battle on their hands. Let me know what youfeel by leaving a comment below.

Improvements In Patapon 2

Files under PSP Games | Leave a Comment

psp-patapont-2.jpg

Patapon was a big hit with PSP gamers, but also downright frustrating for some. Hiroyuki Kotani, the game’s designer, received several comments stating that Patapon was far too challenging for beginners and even a few rhythmically inclined experts.

The developers plan to use feedback to make drastic improvements in Patapon 2 with more user-friendly features like buffers that inform players of any mistimed beats.

Kotani went on to explain other features in the game like multi-player, detailing why it was excluded from the first title. He reveals that the lack of proper distinctions between units in the first Patapon could have led to confusion in the midst of multi-player battle. He claims that the introduction of Hero units sufficed as they gave each player a visible banner that could be used to respectively lead their own troops.

Kotani also detailed how the new single player mode in Patapon 2 will have twice the content of the original. Gamers can expect more efficient Patapons and opponents who are equally strong to combat the one-eyed warriors.

Patapon 2 is slated for release this winter in Japan. Be sure to tune in from time to time for the latest updates.

PSP Games Demo Phantasy Star Portable

For all you RPG fans out their who haven’t played this psp game download, here’s something which will probably excite you. Remember yesterday how I said that Phantasy Star Portable is coming out in Asia later this week. Well, there is a psp game downloads demo to go with it.

As you know, the problem with most psp games coming out of Japan is that it comes in a funny language. So sometimes it’s hard to know what to do.

Anyway, I scoured the net and saw this video which shows you around Phantasy Star Portable.

Not bad hey. You see, when you kill a monster, just remember it will probably say something like “EXPFULL”. I guess you can only level up to 20 or something in this. Which is kinda ok.

Oh and I almost forgot. Here’s where you can download the psp games demo. Just click here.

You see, this is the 100% real DEMO version. As you probably know, once you play around with it, you probably see why this psp game is up there with Monster Hunter.

Anyway, if you get into the story mode, you’ll find there are 3 levels in CH1. But I got to warn you. After you complete it you cannot play it again or something. As for the multi mode, there are 3 missions you can play.

Would love to hear what you think about it.

PSP Games Release For July 27

PSP Games Release July 27

Is the pic above cruel or what! You see, you probably know it’s from the psp game, Phantasy Star Portable. And you may also know they will release it this week. Pretty cool yeah.

The only problem is they are opening it up only for Asia. (Insert here : me crying!)

Anyway, this is not the only psp game being available this week. You see, there are a few of them. But they are not for us. Which sucks.

.. BIGTIME.

Let me explain. It’s like Asia gets the best psp games. And they always get them first. Now I can understand if you feel like we are second rate or something. Because that’s exactly how I feel. Especially when no new releases for North America this week! You see, in the EU, they are getting International Athletics and SBK 08 Superbike World Champion. Not bad psp games too. If you haven’t played them, you can always try this site.)
As for Asia. Well, here’s what they get to play with this week.

  • Ginga Ojousama Densetsu Collection (PC Engine Best Collection)
  • Panic Palette Portable
  • Phantasy Star Portable
  • Tengai Makyou Collection (PC Engine Best Collection)
  • Tengai Makyou: Daishi no Mokushiroku (Hudson the Best)

Does that make you sick or what! You probably know that we almost had Tengai Makyou (Far East of Eden, a RPG) in the US. But Hudon cancelled them for some reason.

Anyway, I guess it’s another week of twiddling my thumbs or something.

Japanese PSP Games Commercial

Ok here’s something you should watch. Especially if you love girls who play psp games. You see, the new Japanese commercial for the psp has 3 girls playing the psp game Monster Hunter. Something you probably won’t see advertised on US tv.

… And if you watch closely, you may here one of them saying “wasssuuupppp”! Real classic stuff!.

Anyway, that’s not why I want you to watch this. You see, the “real” reason is because if I ever found a woman who loves to play psp games like Monster Hunter, then I’d marry her or something. It’s like a dream come true.

See what I mean here.

Anyway, if you want psp game downloads like Monster Hunter and stuff, you can always check out a site like this.

Rumored PSP 3000 Features

PSP 3000?

While Sony hasn’t confirmed it, photos on the PSPChina message board has many believing that the PSP 2000 will be receiving a hardware upgrade very soon. According to these images, the PSP 3000 will include a built-in microphone, updated buttons in different locations, minor cosmetic changes and maybe even cell phone support. Wow. Awesome really. And if you need to get psp game downloads for yours, have a look here.

By observing the photos, you will notice that the Home button has been replaced with a PS button that mimics the one found on a PS3 controller. One can only assume that this change was made in attempt to prevent confusion with the console’s Home service. Other modifications include a thinner metallic ring on the UMB door and the built-in microphone to the right of the volume buttons.

Despite how genuine the photos look, they have not be officially confirmed as the real-deal and should be considered just a rumor at this point. We will be posting more news about Sony’s plans for the PSP and hopefully learn more about the authenticity of these photos as well.

PSP Downloads With Go!View

GoView PSP Downloads

As you probably know, Go!View is Sony’s TV-on-Demand service for PSP. And you may know that it’s out now for our UK and Irish psp community. Hopefully it will come out here soon. Fingers crossed. Otherwise, you can get psp downloads here.

Anyway, if you are interested in this service, there are some basic things you need to know about. Like the basic system requirements. You see, without it, Go!View won’t work. Anyway, you need to be a PC user running WinXP, Internet Explorer v6.0+ and Adobe Flash v9.0+. (Totally sucks if you are a Mac user.) As for your psp, it works best if you have a memory stick bigger than 1GB. That way, you know there’ll be enough space.

… Oh. And don’t forget a USB cable to transfer the psp downloads to your psp.

Anyway, you may be wondering how this all works. Well, Go!View is a sort of monthly service where you get access to shows on Sky, the BBC and National Geographic.

Now, you may be wondering what it costs per month. And what shows are included for you to download to your psp. At the moment, they are offering 3 types of packages. One package gets you a choice of comedy, entertainment and sports. The one package costs about 5 pounds per month. If you want all of them, then you’ll be forking out about 10 pounds a month.

Anyway, in the entertainment package, you get shows like Hustle, Scrubs, Weeds, Spocks, Battlestar Galactica and stuff. As for the Comedy package, there are shows like Little Britain and League of Gentlemen. Sports is just sports.

With Go!View, you can also download movies. Now the list is still being updated, but they will range from 3.50 pounds for movies like Eastern Promises and Michael Clayton. Older movies will go for a little cheaper.

Anyway, Pocket Gamer in the Uk have put together a sort of tutorial which shows you what to do. Just go here for the steps.
