Sony has launched their Go!Messenger,which enables the user to chat and video conference via their psp through any wireless network.

Install the Go!Messenger client from the XMB and create yourself an account.

Go!Messenger has been released and can be downloaded from the Go!Messenger icon on European PSP’s (both versions of course). It is a separate application from the firmware which is downloaded when you go on the Icon. It is not built into the firmware.

An account at BT.com is required and also a Go!Messenger separate account. Both of which can be registered when you have the application on your PSP.

The application is great! Works well and I have been using it.

If you are not from Europe use this method to install GO!Messenger to your psp.

1. Boot to the cfw recovery console (hold R-Trigger when booting)
2. Browse to Configuration and set “Fake region” to Europe
3. Back, then Exit
4. Select the Go!Messenger icon, download and install the client
5. Connect PSP via USB or use something like PSP Filer
6. Copy (don’t move) PSP/APP/ULES00856 to PSP/GAME/ULES00856; keep a copy of DATA.DRM in PSP/APP/ULES00856
7. Optionally reset your region back to the default (using the recovery console)
8. Launch Go!Messenger from the game menu and sign up

This is wonderful!!! Custom fw extender 2.0 for the latest 3.90M33-2 and for the Time machine released.As the name suggests, this provides several useful addons and the plugins for the m33 fw..The details and the download link are given below.

CFE v2.0 changes: (from the README)

• Removed usb/wifi ISO streaming for multiples reason, principally it was not the goal of cfe at the beginning. There is now “USB ISO Loader” by psp.padawan that will do the job well. You should soon be able to grab it from http://www.mydedibox.fr/~psppadawan/
• 390m33-2 and 150_340TM custom firmware now supported (cfe should now work on any firmware), note that on the 150_340 time machine firmware, the ftpd server will not work, and remotejoy under ISO/HOMEBREWS won’t work too for now. All other functions should work well.
• Time Machine compatibility: You can now reboot “on the fly” from one time machine firmware to another, just edit the cfe.config file under “ms0:/seplugins/cfe/” to choose which firmware you will reboot to by pressing a combo button. Format is the same as the original time machine configuration file. Default configuration is NOTE+LEFT => reboot to 150_340 firmware, NOTE+RIGHT => normal reboot (NAND).
• Remotejoy fixed to work on both slim and phat psp, without savegame bugs, so it should now be completely usable for gaming and recording.
• Tested on 390m33-2 and 150_340TM firmware on SLIM and PHAT psp.
• And more, can’t remember all the work i have done on this

Yeah mates now it is possible to emulate java games in your psp(lovely naaa).Yeah it is all happening here..I have tried this one myself and I am truly satisfied with this as the controls are far more better than the cell phones..

To use:

start PSPKVM and select a “.jar” file. The default device is the SE K800i; press Triangle to cycle through available devices. The last selected device will be loaded on the next boot.

Stay tuned for improved versions of PSPKVM; it’s said the author of pspME, M@x, will be merging his project with Sleepper’s in effort to provide a better Java Micro Edition Virtual Machine for the PSP.

After Extraction

I have written a post some time ago that the new psps will not be able to create pandora batteries.

The new PSP models coming out now are no longer able to create a Pandora battery.These motherboards have a Baryon version of 0×00234000 or above.You can still put CFW on them if you already have a Pandora battery, its just that you cannot create a Pandora battery using these new PSPs.

The entire story behind this are as follows

First in 3.80M, Sony removed the exported functions from the OS. So the original battery tools, including hellcat’s first version stopped working, because the functions are not callable from the OS.

Then SilverSpring provided some sample code showing how to call the battery functions directly using the hardware address for the function in the SysCon chip.Thats what Hellcat’s current version of his application uses. This will continue to work on ALL future firmwares on CURRENT PSPs only.Now they have changed the hardware address of the battery functions in the SysCon chip, and since the OS functions are not there either, there is no way to find the new hardware address. The function IS STILL THERE in the SysCon chip, because thats why the new PSP will still enter service mode with a Pandora battery. But without the OS functions, there is no way to find the hardware address to directly access the battery functions. The hardware address was found on the old PSPs because the functions were present in 3.71 and below and by reversing those functions you could see which hardware address it was calling.

So if you wanna create pandoras,do it with your old psp…As always “OLD IS GOLD”
