If you’re like me, then you like to THINK you can mod your PSP. You see, I like to think I can, but I’m as good with my hands as I’m to picking up woman. I guess I got to say here, my last “official” date was in early 2000’s… I didn’t have to PAY for that one. But who wants to know about me.

Anyway, this mod I found on the Acid forums is a moment where I wish I had magical powers or something.

You see, this guy Rex, has created this internal camera mod for the PSP with an added larger speeker built into it also.

But I’m betting he had to remove the umd unit to do this.

Anyway, you want to turn your PSP into a camera or something, you might want to talk to Rex and ask him how it’s done.

Ok. Before I tell you about the official 3.72 official firmware launched today, I got to tell you this.

… I got it wrong. And I feel humiliated.

Yeah. I think I said somewhere on the blog, that dudes at Sony were releasing a 4.0 version or something.

So I apologize. But I guess we all make mistakes? Right?

Anyway, if you can forgive me, let me tell you about it. With my VERY BASIC knowledge of Japanese.

You see, the updates have just been released on the Sony Japanese site. And we think it’s for the PSP-1001 and PSP-2001. Now before I say I really know what this does, remember I sometimes make mistakes. I don’t ALWAYS get everything right.

Ok. In saying that, here’s what I think this update does. First, the support for PlayStation Network titles has been expanded. Which is cool.
And the other is that the one-segment in the channel list has been updated.

Anyway, once we have more info, I’ll let you know about it.

Now it’s time to crank up my trusty Japanese translator.

Looks like all the PSP games companies are trying to hit us with free demo’s or something. Maybe they are gearing towards a massive assault on us.

Yeah…

Anyway, there’s a demo I’ve just played and think is worth checking out. You see, it’s pertty cool, I want you to download it to your psp and play RIGHT NOW.

Now if you’re a little freaked out that I’m telling you to get the demo, without know what it is, then I’ll tell you about it now.

You see, it’s a demo for the PSP version of RedLynx and THQ’s Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command. And you can get it right now PlayStation.com. You see, the full game is being released on Nov 16. So who knows how long they keep it up. Right?

Right!

Anyway, if you never heard of Warhammer, let me tell you now. You see, here’s what Sony says about Warhammer.

Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command is a turn-based strategy game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The game features three Space Marine chapters fighting it out against three Legions of Chaos squads on the planet of Rhur III. It boasts of fully destructible 3d environments and an assortment of over 20 weapons.

Cool huh?

Yeah I thought so. Now the cool thing about it is that the game’s single-player campaign lets you take control of the Imperium’s Ultramarines. They are like a group of Marines, only the best of the best.

Anyway, if you got WIFI, you’ll want to take the game online. See you can play againt 8 other dudes.

When I was at college, my friend would play Doom like there was no tomorrow.

And you know what?

I’m still the person his MUM blames.

… For nearly getting him kicked out of college.

You see, if you ever seen the Simpsons episode where Homer introduces Barney to alcohol, well that’s what it was like.

See, my friend was a total geek. All he ever did was study and stuff.

So me being me, I’d try every underhand trick to get him to chill out.

Anyway, one day I got a copy of Doom from another friend and cranked it up on the pc. Before long, he was standing behind me like a magnet or something. Anyway, he asked for a shot.

And you know. 12 hours later, he’s still on my damn computor playing Doom!

So I have to warn you - Doom is as addictive as sniffing glue.

You see, Doom is the type of game you’ll play for days and days. Which leads me to this.

A hot homebrewer by the name of Chilly Willy has done something really cool for us.

Now, I dont want to put words in his mouth, so ‘ll let him explain it to you.

“Here’s my conversion of ADoomPPC, one of the better DOOM conversions (for the Amiga). It’s got a simple, decent gui that runs before you start the game which allows you to set most of the major DOOM settings. On the Slim PSP, it supports TV out. This arc includes the source, two sets of MIDI instruments and the shareware WAD file.”

Yeah big Willy! Whatever you say!

Now some members of our community have already downloaded this. Some of them on PSP Slim & lite running on CFW 3.71 M33-2, which worked as if it was created for it.

Other’s have tried it on the PSP Fat running on CFW 3.52 M33-4. And it also worked a treat.

Anyway, I have to point out that Chilly Willy’s Doom for the PSP doesn’t work with networking and cheats. Pity that. But hey. You can’t have your cake and eat it too!

First thing I got to say is this.

… This is not my PSP! You see, I’ve been reading stuff in some PSP forums and people keep saying this is my PSP. Now that’s cool and all. But I think they’re trying to make fun of me and all.

But I gotta tell you.

… It’s not mine!

And you know why it’s not mine?

Well, my PSP is NOT that clean. As you all know, I love to eat. In fact, I eat ANY chance I get. Sometimes, even on the toilet. So this couldn’t be mine. Could it. I have food stains on mine and stuff.

Another reason why it’s not mine is because this one looks like the pad hasn’t even been touched or something. You see, on my psp, the pads are well warn. It’s as if I’ve been playing 12 hours a day or something for 2 years straight. (Ok. Maybe I have. But give me a break!)

Anyway, if I had a PSP like this. I don’t care how good it looks. But I’m more interested in how it looks INSIDE.

You see, I’m big on getting more out of my PSP. That’s why I put up this blog.

… So you’ll get more out of yours.

Anyway, what does your psp REALLY look like?

Ok guys. And girls. Looks like there will be a new firmware release for the PSP. You see, PSP 4.0 is coming out in December.

And you want to know what it will be like?

Well, my sources say there will be a Divx playback facility in the new firmware.

Also it will have very good compatibility for PS3 playback.

So wait for the new release and also the CFW or M33 or any custom firmware releases of 4.0.

And the good this is this.

Now this is something which will really excite members of our community. You see, when I get excited, I like to eat. And over the past hour or so, I gobbled down a couple of cheese burgers as fast as a fat man at an eating contest.

A nd you know why?

Well, it’s all because of Dark Alex. You see, he’s a real kick a$# guy. And you want to listen up now, because I’m not gonna say it again.

You see, Dark_Alex has written a 1.50 Kernel for the PSP. And he tells us it’s gonna be released in a few days. So what does that mean?

Well, it means this. If you own a PSP Slim, then your PSP is going to do things you couldn’t get it to do. See. All slim owners will be able to enjoy all the homebrews and the emulators for 1.50! Imagine how much more fun you’re gonna have!

He has stated that he has used the IPL config with NAND DUMP of 1.50 to program the kernel for the slim(sounds GREEK AND LATIN)No worries!!

People who have been playing the God of War Demo have shown us something really cool.

You see, there’s some hidden stages in the demo. If you can find them.

Anyway, if you haven;t found them yet, let me show you what you need to do.

Use CheatMaster v6.3 to unlock some extra stages
Hidden Room Discovered By Both Sketch And LoGikz

Code 3 - 0×0122B950 0xC146155B

!!Instructions On How To Use!!
1. Add the codes to your table address table before you hit start game and DONT lock them.
2.Play the demo all the way through till you get to the end (where you have to kick the ladders down)
3. Now that your on the last bridge, bring up CM and Lock the First Code.
4. Go back into game and you’ll warp. Then unlock that code and lock Code 2.
5. You’ll warp again, then unlock Code 2 and lock Code 3.
6.Now that you’ve warped 3 times you can unlock Code 3 and walk forward and Fight 3 ogres!!
